元岭村位于大岭山镇东部，2006年因松山湖高新科技产业园建设整体迁至现址，与松山湖相邻[1]。村辖区总面积约430亩，户籍人口1127人，常住人口约4822人[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，北宋咸平年间崔、钟两姓先民迁来立村，原名联溪（该页注明为公元1008年，但咸平年号自998年至1003年，两者不一致，年份存疑）；其后邓氏迁入，改名联岭；1949年定名元岭[2]。1950年至1957年归属马蹄岗。1958年公社化后，它与大岭山农场合编为上游营，归寮步公社；1961年并入农场大队，1968年又分出成立元岭大队[2]。1983年设乡，1987年设管理区，1999年成立村民委员会[2]。

搬迁与设施[edit]

村民2006年起陆续搬入新村，新村有村委会办公楼和社区综合服务活动中心，农贸市场与文化广场也在其中，另有休闲公园和幼儿园，住宅多为独立式花园别墅[1][3]。村委会另设警务室、出租管理中心与环卫队[3]。

2024年，村子经济收入1098万元，较上年同期增长11%，经济纯收入722万元[1]。村子曾获「广东省卫生村」「广东省绿色社区」「东莞市生态村」「广东省交通安全文明示范村」「东莞市文明村」「东莞市宜居社区」等称号[1]。
