田新社区处在桥头镇中心区的西侧，属东莞市管辖的桥头镇。社区的北面是邓屋村，西面是岭头社区，南面连着迳联社区，东边为桥头社区。社区下设6个居民小组。[1][2]

镇政府网站记载，截至2025年底社区资产合计约4.66亿元，全年收入约6733万元。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，此地的建村可追溯到元末明初。新中国成立前夕的1949年，它归丰乐乡所辖。1952年，并入田新乡的是江湖贝、松园、新围、五级地、长乐与田溪头六个村。1958年公社化后称田新大队，1984年改为田新乡，1988年改为田新管理区。[1]

1998年，原来的管理区改设田新村委会，当时辖田溪头、新围、长乐三个自然村；2005年改为田新社区居委会。[1]

社区设施[edit]

博雅地名网载，社区建有占地约1.6万平方米的文化广场，一所面积4000平方米的幼儿园，并有兴农农场、台湾佬果园、高尔夫球练习场，以及羽毛球场、篮球场和小莲塘。[3]

镇政府网站称，社区以田新文化广场为中心实施了连片升级改造，周边道路铺设了沥青，并修缮了罗氏宗祠，建成了田新村史馆。[2]
