莲城社区是广东省东莞市桥头镇下辖的社区，位于镇中心，前身为桥头居民委员会，2005年改用现名。[1][3]

社区的社会综合治理管辖面积为3.88平方千米。到2025年12月末，户籍人口约2.94万人，常住人口约5.4万人，辖区内有莲湖公园、珠岭公园、桥头古墟市等地方。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清康熙六十年（1721年），本地诸姓合股建成圩市，取名义和圩。民国初年，庙冈、义和、东桥市三圩合为一处，因义和圩最为繁华，且位于土桥东头，此后称桥头圩。[4]

1954年设立圩委会。1984年圩委会改为镇人民政府，此地称圩镇；1987年桥头区公所改为桥头镇，圩镇转为居民管理区。1998年改设居民委员会，2005年依农村体制改革的安排改称莲城社区。[4]

社区概况[edit]

2025年，社区以党建引领为主线，推进基层治理与民生服务，并结合「百千万工程」推动项目建设。社区组建了6个企业联合党支部，常态化开展走访调研。截至2025年底，辖区有市场主体2689户，其中企业105家，规模以上工业企业6家。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

莲湖公园位于镇中心，夏季以荷花著称；珠岭公园绿树成荫；革命烈士纪念碑纪念在抗战和解放战争中牺牲的本镇烈士；桥头古墟市位于广晋街一带。[2][3]
