东平村在企石镇东南部，东南与桥头镇相接，村域面积约1.52平方千米，包括东平和大帽岭两个自然村。[2]

户籍人口886人，外来的「新莞人」约3280人，村内工厂企业36家。2020年至2022年，东平村连续三年入选淘宝村名单。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

东平村立村于公元1942年，1949年迎来解放。1951年设民主乡，乡内有东山、上截、下截和东平；1955年春起办低级社，1956年上半年改高级社，1957年并入大社。[1]

经济[edit]

村里以第三产业为主，商业集中在东业路与东平市场一带。2022年，农贸市场完成转型升级，东平市场和东业路一带改造后成为兼具休闲、购物与便利服务的街区。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

1997年建的东平广场占地5000多平方米，设溜冰场、篮球场、羽毛球场和健身器材。同年建的东平娱乐中心建筑面积2000多平方米。[1]
