寨背村是广东省清远市英德市九龙镇下辖的行政村，位于镇西南部。全村辖12个村民小组、11个自然村。村名来历，据博雅地名网所记，与早年防匪的山寨有关。[1]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，此地早年为防备匪患建有一座山寨，寨的后面有许多自然村，村名由此而来。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域为丘陵与石灰岩山交错的地形，耕地多为山间洞田，耕地面积2674亩。[1]

经济[edit]

村民历来以种植水稻、花生为主。随着市场经济的发展，村党支部和村委会引导村民调整作物布局，种植蔬菜330多亩、砂糖橘260多亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设寨背大队；1983年大队改称寨背乡政府；1986年起又称村委会；1990年撤销村委会，改设寨背管理区；1998年10月7日重新设立寨背村委会，延续至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

寨背村于2019年9月被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。鹤薮村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
