新龙村是广东省清远市英德市九龙镇下辖的行政村，位于镇南部，距九龙镇约10公里，四面环山，是全镇区域面积较大的村委会之一。村名来自村委会所在的山势，山脉起伏盘绕，形如游龙。全村辖19个村民小组、17个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村委会建在群山之中，周围山脉盘绕起伏，宛如游龙，故称“新龙”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设新龙大队；1983年转为新龙乡政府；1986年起称新龙村委会；1990年改作管理区；1998年10月7日重新设立村委会。2001年，高村委会并入。[1]

经济[edit]

村民历来以种植水稻、玉米为主，兼种蔬菜、瓜果和番薯。九十年代以来，村里发展蔬菜等经济作物，并推广砂糖橘，形成水果生产基地，成为村民的主要收入来源。耕地面积1722.6亩。[1]

生活[edit]
