九龙社区是广东省清远市英德市九龙镇下辖的社区，也是全镇唯一的社区，位于圩镇南面，属镇中心区。社区居委会设在圩镇之中，圩镇是全镇的核心区域。[1]

地名由来[edit]

地名的来历，博雅地名网记为一个传说：古时有多条龙下凡到此游玩，因峰林奇秀而留居不去，故称“九龙”。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区区域面积10.11平方千米，耕地面积2827.8亩。东与新田村相接，南与塘坑村毗邻，西与大陂村相邻，北与团结村相连。[1]

人口民族[edit]

社区总人口7373人，年份未注明。社区分街道居民和农村两部分，居民小组有5个，名为民强、红光、太平一、太平二和新居；另有9个村民小组。[1]

社区内种植砂糖橘600多亩，又利用水库和鱼塘发展养殖。居住在圩镇的居民借着地理优势经营个体商业，村民收入逐年提高。[1]
