沙坝村是西牛镇下辖的行政村，管辖24个村民小组，共810户、4168人。村内有中心小学一间，村内水田1100多亩。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年设沙坝乡，1990年改设沙坝管理区，1998年10月7日改称沙坝村委会。2004年12月10日，冲面村委会并入本村。[1]

经济[edit]

村内水田1100多亩，以种植水稻、玉米、花生、冬瓜和豆角为主；林地种植麻竹笋、单竹，并有速生丰产林和沙糖桔等果树。2008年，村集体经济收入约2万元。[2]

人口与设施[edit]

沙坝村设中心小学一间，在校学生323人，教师21人。村内设卫生站4处、集市2处，农历五、十两日为街期。[2]

地理环境[edit]

小北江支流由北向南穿过村境，将村分成两岸。江的上游接九龙镇，下游流向水边一带，江中水产丰富。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年12月，沙坝村列入第二批「国家森林乡村」名单。2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予沙坝村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号；2023年5月，授予地岭村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
