兴塘村是西牛镇下辖的行政村，辖18个村民小组，共262户、1582人。村内有三妹岩洞，洞内有石笋、石柱和泉水。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年此地称新塘乡，1990年改名兴塘管理区，1998年10月7日改设兴塘村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
三妹岩洞位于村内，洞口周围群山耸立、翠竹环绕。洞分三层，每层高十多米，洞内有形态各异的石笋和石柱。洞的尽头有泉水涌出，当地视之为“仙水”。传说有仙女居于其中一层，洞因此得名。[2]
经济[edit]
村内设村级卫生站1个，另有兴塘纸厂一间。[2]
文化[edit]
2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予大枫树村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
