宝山村坐落于高岗镇西北部，距镇街约6公里，东侧与墩下村相邻，西南侧与高岗村接壤[1]。全村划分为18个村民小组，面积12.23平方千米[1]。村内有东江纵队北江支队司令部旧址[2]。

地名由来[edit]

村子背靠单竹坪山，当地人把这座山叫作宝山，村名由山名而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1951年5月设宝山乡，1959年改为宝山大队，1983年底复设乡，1987年初设村委会；1990年至1995年为管理区，1995年起复为村委会[1]。

革命旧址[edit]

东江纵队北江支队司令部曾驻扎在宝山村，时间从1945年7月起，到1946年夏天为止[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年12月，宝山村列入国家林业和草原局公布的第二批国家森林乡村名单。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会把「2022年广东省卫生村」称号授予宝山村的竹头下村。2026年1月，宝山村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
