西田村是广东省清远市佛冈县水头镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域北部，村委会距镇政府约6公里。村名的来历是村旁有一大片耕地。[1]

村情[edit]

村内耕地比较分散，全村辖11个自然村，有独王山、杨桥、长坑、龟嘴、老围、南亩、瑶塘、清和、米仔田，以及上、下两个牛湾，另有21个村民小组。博雅地名网载村委会人口2573人。[1]

农业结构调整后，村里大量种植沙糖桔等经济作物和名优水果。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代属清远县吉河乡，民国时期属佛冈县一区水头乡。1959年起称西田大队，1983年改为西田乡，1987年复为村委会，1990年至1995年间改设管理区，此后重新设为村委会。[1]
