雷坑村是石潭镇西北部的行政村，距石潭圩约1公里，村域面积约12平方千米。石潭镇名人陈可钰出生于本村的田心村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名源自当地的雷公山。村子靠近山脚，群众认为山尖高耸、能与雷公对话，称雷公尖；旁边一条大山坑两岸都是村庄，称雷公坑，后简称雷坑。[1]

1953年称雷坑乡，1958年改设雷坑大队，1986年改为村委会，1989年设管理区，1998年复为村委会。[1]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予本村石街一村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，雷坑村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

地理环境[edit]

著名人物[edit]

陈可钰（1882年—1944年）出生于雷坑田心村，字景瑗，后在军界任职，事迹详见石潭镇条目。[2]
