团结村位于太平镇东南部，村委会距镇政府约1公里，下辖27个村民小组。[1]村由锁塘、白沙、黄坭塘三个村委会合并而成，取名寓意三村团结和睦。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年，此地是沙塘乡；1958年从中析出白沙、黄坭塘、锁塘三个大队；1976年锁塘一片分出后，与白沙、黄泥塘组成团结大队；1978年团结大队散开，再分为三个大队。1983年又设沙塘乡，1986年撤乡后，锁塘、白沙、黄泥塘各自恢复村委会。2004年三村合成团结村委会。[1]2019年9月，团结村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

村域面积6.2平方千米，耕地1650亩，鱼塘2235亩，1126户、4004人。属太平平原区，是粮食生产和渔业养殖区，主要种植水稻、蔬菜和沙糖桔。[1]
