横石社区是飞来峡镇下辖的社区。横石圩是镇内最早形成的圩市，始建于北宋年间，圩名取自江中的一块长石。[1][2]

横石圩[edit]

横石圩建于北宋年间，约在1100年前后。建圩初期称横石寨，清朝年间改称横石圩。圩市位于北江东岸，圩前的江床中有一条形如长带的巨石横卧，圩因此得名。[2]
