石岭社区位于龙塘镇东北部，东接井岭社区，南邻新庄社区，西至金沙社区，北面与高新区相接。辖区东侧临107国道，省道269线在周边环绕而过，社区内商铺集中，大部分村民已由农业转为经商。[1]

石岭村委会成立于1987年，由原金星、月星两个大队合并而来。[1]

人口与耕地[edit]

社区下辖14个村民小组，总户数836户，人口4250人，耕地约1500亩（数字见于博雅地名网，未注年份）。[1]

教育与医疗[edit]

辖区原有云开小学和有生中学，这两所学校是1981年由一对夫妇独资办起的，后于2006年合在一起，改为龙塘中心小学。辖内设有龙塘镇医院及多间卫生院。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予石岭社区「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
