长埔村是东城街道下辖的行政村，属主城区，村委会驻地位于街道西北面，下辖18个村民理事会。[1]

2023年11月，村内成立清远市清城区长埔投资服务有限公司，由长埔经济联社出资，统筹管理村里的农村资源资产。[2]

地名由来[edit]

相传先人迁来建村之初生活艰难，买不起衣服，只能把旧衣补好再穿。「补」与「埔」谐音，村委会驻地于此，遂称长埔。[1]

沿革[edit]

1953年设乡时以长埔定名，此后经大队、乡、村委会等建制，1999年改称长埔村委会，沿用至今。[1]

村集体经济[edit]

村委会决定以长埔经济联社为股东，于2023年11月成立清远市清城区长埔投资服务有限公司，负责统筹管理村里的农村资源资产。公司已整合约250亩土地，并与「清远市花卉庄园农业发展有限公司」合资设立项目公司，拟运营象牙村文旅项目，预计每年为村集体增收15万元以上。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，长埔村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
