黄垌村隶属阳春市八甲镇，村庄由黄姓人家于1876年建立。[1]

名称来历[edit]

1876年（清光绪二年），黄姓人家在此落户建村。民国时期，这里设有黄垌圩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

本村1951年建乡，1958年成为大队，1983年设乡政府，1986年改称村委会，1989年变成管理区。[1]

阳春市人民政府于1999年3月15日核准组建黄垌村委会，名称至今未变。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，昔头村被确定为「2021年度阳江市卫生村」；2023年10月，竹围村被确定为「2023年度阳江市卫生村」。[1]
