历史沿革[edit]
1949年设乡，此后经大队与乡政府等建制变化，1998年10月，阳春市人民政府批准设置新埠村委会。[1]
缸瓮涌陶窑[edit]
遗址在缸瓮涌附近的山岗上，断代为宋代，占地近五千平方米，1983年曾经试挖。文化层厚薄不一，内有大量碎陶与窑具。窑均为龙窑，尚存十座，坐北朝南，窑壁以砖砌成。器物以壶、罐、盘为主，另见龙首、筒瓦之类建筑件，有的器物涂着黑釉或酱黄釉。[2]
