历史沿革[edit]
1949年以前，乌石头属阳江县第七区的儒洞乡。1953年归阳江县第十八区的书村乡，1956年改属儒洞区，1957年撤区建大队，仍属儒洞乡。1958年先后属大跃进人民公社与儒洞人民公社，1961年转书村人民公社，并成立乌石头生产大队，1963年复归儒洞人民公社。[2]
1983年称乌石头乡，隶属儒洞区；1987年改称乌石头村委会。1988年阳西建县，仍属儒洞镇。1989年改为管理区，1999年再次设为村委会，仍归儒洞镇。2003年划入沙扒镇管辖，名称沿用至今。[2][1]
荣誉[edit]
凡纳滨对虾一项，使乌石头在2020年8月入选广东首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村。[1]
2026年1月，乌石头村获评广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
