西二村位于阳西县程村镇境内，村名同样取自村委会所在的方位：它在近河西侧，属于排第二的村落。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年10月，此地划归阳江县四区；同年11月成立西二行政村。1953年阳江县十二区内设西二乡。1956年后，行政上先隶属平岗区，又随东风公社划转，1963年改隶程村公社。[2]

1967年成立西二革命委员会，1980年改为生产大队管委会。1983年春重设西二乡，1987年2月改称西二村委会，隶属程村镇；1988年阳西建县后仍属程村镇。1989年设管理区，1999年9月复为西二村委会。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年度「阳江市卫生村」名单中有细墩村、新港村和长朗村（2021年12月确定）。2019年9月，西二村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
