历史沿革[edit]

此地原为阳江地区的第八屯，清代中叶简称「第八」。民国时期，「第」与「大」在当地口语中读音相近，于是改称「大八」，社区与镇同用此名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，大八社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
