历史沿革[edit]
1952年，宁光属阳江县八区。1953年，此地设宁光管理区，归双捷乡；1956年撤乡设区，归双捷区；次年又复设乡，仍为双捷乡所辖。[1]
1958年，宁光划入红旗公社；1959年成立宁光生产大队；1960年改隶双捷公社，1961年又回到双捷区。大队于1983年撤销，改为管理区；1986年村委会建立，所属为双捷镇。2003年，宁光村委会成立并改由塘坪镇管理。[1]
