塘坪镇是广东省阳江市阳东区下辖的镇，位于阳东区西北部，镇政府驻塘坪圩麒麟路58号。[1][3]

镇域东面与大八镇相邻，南面是红丰镇，西面以江城区的双捷镇为界，北面与阳春市的岗美镇接壤。农业以种植和养殖为主，荔枝是主要经济作物之一，北甘村出产的双肩玉荷包荔枝是当地的特色品种。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

镇名旧称「蛤塘」，1949年后改称「塘坪」，镇政府驻地在塘坪圩，镇名由此而来。[3]

清代，这一带分属原阳江县归善乡的南河都（南河一至三图）和独州都（独州一、二图）。民国初年与中华人民共和国成立初期，都属第九区。[5]

1958年，大八乡与此地合并组成红旗公社，同年底改称塘坪公社。1961年5月，公社拆分为塘坪、塘围、红五月三个公社；当年年底塘围并回塘坪，划归大八区。1963年2月撤区，红五月公社并入，合为塘坪公社。[5]

1983年11月公社改为塘坪区。到1987年2月，这里改称塘坪镇。1988年1月，阳江市设立阳东区，塘坪镇归其管辖；1991年7月阳东撤区设县，改属阳东县。[5]

2003年10月，塘坪镇将珍珠、塘角、钓月、红丰、参地、塘围、潮观七个村民委员会划归红丰镇。同时，原属麻汕镇的宁光、双麻两个村民委员会划入塘坪镇。[5]

2021年6月，依据第七次全国人口普查结果，塘坪镇的人口在阳东区各街道乡镇中列第7位。[3]

同年9月，「一村一品、一镇一业」专业镇名单公布，塘坪镇（荔枝）入选第三批。[3]

2021年12月，阳江市把2021年度卫生镇的名号授予塘坪镇。[3]

粮食作物以水稻、番薯为主；经济作物有荔枝、龙眼、香蕉、黄皮、花生、大豆和蔬菜。养殖以淡水养殖、肉猪和「三鸟」生产为主。[4]

北甘、平山等村近年引种柑桔四千多亩，目前大部分已经投产。上村的香芋、湾龙的豆角、赤岗的果蔗、双麻的桑蚕与长乐的甜瓜，各自成为村里的专业产品。[4]

镇内2019年有工业企业11个，经营面积超过50平方米的综合商店或超市有18个。[1]
