城南街道是广东省阳江市江城区下辖的街道，位于阳江市区南部，东起环城河，西抵漠阳江，北以南恩路为界。[1] 街道名称来自它在阳江市区南面的位置。[1] 1988年设立城南街道，2006年江城区调整街道区划，太傅、渔洲两个街道办事处并入，辖区因此有较大变化。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，这一带属阳江县城文政都永泰坊，新中国成立后属县城镇。1958年11月设为第二街，同年12月改属江城公社；1961年至1972年间，又在江城镇与江城人民公社之间多次改属。[2]

1983年12月，第二街被撤销，代之以二区街道办事处，隶属关系仍在江城镇。1988年7月，此地设立城南街道，归江城区管辖。[2] 2006年8月31日，江城区调整街道区划，太傅、渔洲两个街道办事处并入本街道，岗列街道的岗东、金山两个社区和玉沙村民委员会也划归城南街道。[2]

地理与辖区[edit]

博雅地名网载，街道东起环城河，西至漠阳江，南面与玉沙村、岗东社区、金山社区以及岗列、那格两个村委会接壤，北至南恩路。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

太傅路历史文化街区在阳江古城外，是一条南北向的主街，西临漠阳江。路上过去有一座太傅祠，供奉南宋太傅张世杰，道路因此得名，太傅社区的名称也取自这条路。[1][3]

据百度百科，2024年，该街区进入第五批广东省历史文化街区之列，保护范围9.19公顷。区内太傅路上的94至96号骑楼与阳江厅广州会馆旧址同属历史建筑，另有曾传荣故居、戴裔煊故居等。街区的文商旅融合发展由阳江市旅游协会与城南街道办合作推动。[3]

博雅地名网在本街道页面上列有广东海上丝绸之路博物馆。[1] 维基百科载，该馆2004年末动工兴建，2009年12月24日建成开放。展品以南宋古沉船“南海一号”的船身为核心，并包括出水的黄金、陶瓷、漆器；2016年11月起暂时封闭整修，2017年8月重新开放。[4]
