培群村是蓝口镇下辖的行政村。村中原以张姓为主，旧名张屋沥。后有一位华侨在村里办学，希望培养出超群的人才，于是改名培群。[1]

2024年1月，培群村被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为培群大队，1983年改设培群乡，1987年改为培群管理区，1999年经县政府批准改设培群村委会。[1]
