长江头村是蓝口镇辖下的行政村，村落分布在两侧山岗之间。村名取“长岗”之意，客家方言中“长岗”与“长江”同音，村名因此而来。[1]

2026年1月，长江头村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。2024年3月，村庄被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2019年9月，村庄入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为长江头大队，1983年改称长江头乡，1987年改为长江头管理区，1999年经县政府批准改设长江头村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内咸水塘有咸水塘会议旧址与咸水塘谈判旧址。1949年5月7日，粤赣湘边纵队东江二支队的领导与国民党保安第十三团团长曾天节在此进行第三次谈判，议定起义相关事宜。咸水塘谈判旧址为清末所建的客家围屋，占地1471平方米，2022年7月公布为第十批广东省文物保护单位。[2][3]
