村子的山地中蕴藏银矿，因此称银坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为银坑大队，1983年为银坑乡，1987年为银坑管理区，1999年改设银坑村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，银坑村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
