此地原有一片蒲竹，后来改作农田，村名取「蒲」与「田」合成的蒲田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年此地成立蒲田大队，1983年改设蒲田乡，1987年改为蒲田管理区，1999年改设蒲田村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年12月，蒲田村入选第一批「国家森林乡村」名单；同年10月入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录，9月又上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
