牛潭村是广东省河源市东源县顺天镇下辖的行政村，区划代码为441625104210。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
相传有一头水牛途经此地，见这里山水清秀，便卧入水潭化作神仙，村名由此而来。[1]
此处1958年为红星大队，1983年改设牛潭乡，1987年改为牛潭管理区。1999年，县里批准设立牛潭村委会，此名沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
镇概况提到牛潭石元坝一带的养猪与腐竹加工，并将其列入「十大农业开发基地」。[2]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，牛潭村被列入广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名录，依据为2018年的评选。[1]
