新洋潭村是东源县仙塘镇下辖的行政村，村民多由涧头镇的洋潭村迁来，村名沿用洋潭并加了一个“新”字。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年此地称洋潭大队，1983年改称新洋潭乡，1987年改为新洋潭管理区；1999年，东源县政府批准成立村委会。[1]
2019年10月，村列入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
