徐洞村是东源县仙塘镇下辖的镇乡结合区村，相传数百年前有徐姓人家在此定居，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

后来徐姓迁走，但村名保留了下来。[1] 1958年此地设徐洞大队，1983年改设徐洞乡，1987年改为徐洞管理区；1999年，东源县政府批准成立村委会。[1]

2021年1月，徐洞村被河源市文明委认定为「2020年度河源市文明村」。[1] 2021年12月，村获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]
