木京村是东源县仙塘镇下辖的行政村，旧名玉惊村，建国后由乡贤丘让中改名木京。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧名中的“玉”字含义深奥，“惊”字则不吉利，因此建国后改为木京。[1] 1958年此地称玉京大队，1983年改设木京乡，1987年改为木京管理区，1993年改称木京村委会。[1]

2019年9月，村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1] 2021年12月，村获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]
