大塘面社区在彭寨镇境内，原为村庄，后改为社区。得名于旧时每个生产队屋前都有一口池塘，既便于救火，也方便日常取用。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初期，此地称华塘面。1958年，人民公社组建，此地归入老彭中的六一分队，本队称二队。公社改镇后，此地为大塘面村；2004年随中心镇开发撤村改居，设立为社区居民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，大塘面社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
