河西村位于连平县高莞镇，村子建在高莞河西侧，因此得名。村境内有高陂寨战斗旧址，是解放战争时期的一处革命旧址。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1978年，老高陂大队分为四个大队，河西为其中之一。此后1983年设乡，1988年改为管理区办事处，1999年才成村民委员会。[1]

革命旧址[edit]

高陂寨战斗旧址位于本村境内，博雅地名网称其在忠信圩至高莞水库公路约11公里处的西侧。1949年3月，我军在此一带与前来进攻的国民党军交战，取得胜利，详见高莞镇条。[2]

荣誉[edit]

河西村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，授予者为广东省爱卫会，时间是2021年12月。[1]
