塘田村是陂头镇下辖的行政村，属村庄类城乡分类。村名取其地形：中间低、四周稍高，状如一口大鱼塘，中间多为水田，故名塘田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

原蒲田与塘田同属双田大队。1978年6月，陂头公社划出设立贵东公社，双田大队拆分为蒲田、塘田两大队。1999年起设塘田村委会。[1]

2003年起，贵东划归陂头镇，蒲田与塘田改由陂头镇管辖。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年3月，本村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
