红阳村位于龙川县麻布岗镇境内，是一个行政村。村名与联中乡东边的上坑有关，据博雅地名网，取“日出东方”之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

文革之前，联中乡辖有中坑、上坑、大塘三个自然村；之后分成三个大队。上坑位于联中乡东侧，这一大队便以寓意“日出东方”的“红阳”命名。[1]

红阳大队于1958年由联中大队分出，但数月后又并回联中。1999年设村委会，此后一直沿用；1989年起这里称红阳管理区。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年4月，红阳村获「2020年度龙川县文明村镇」称号。[1]
