万塘村位于廻龙镇内，与骆岐村、群光村、园田村、大塘肚村等相邻。村名取自最早在此开垦定居的万姓人家。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初称万马村，属蓝岐乡；1952年划入万光乡，1957年归万光管理区。1962年建万光大队，其后另立万塘大队。1983年，万光乡政府下辖万塘村；1987年改为村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年再设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，万塘村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
