万光村属廻龙镇，是一个镇乡结合区的行政村，与东北村、罗回村、罗丰村及回龙社区相邻。村名来自最早在此定居的一位名叫「万光」的村民。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初，幕光与万马两村各自存在，同属蓝岐乡。1951年，二村合并，并设立万光乡人民政府。[1]

1957至1989年间，此地先后改设为管理区、大队与乡政府；1987年确立村委会，1999年再设村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，万光村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会将2022年广东省卫生村的称号授予万光村。[1]
