地名由来[edit]

按田心镇的地形分东、西、南、北，本村属东面，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后，本村成立田东大队。1983年，田东与东江、下輋两村合并为田东乡。此后，本村先后转为村委会、管理区，并于1999年再度设立村委会。[1][2]

产业与环境[edit]

2024年，镇里与本村签订投资协议，拟建田东食品加工厂，一期投入预计为1000万元。[3]

2022年的镇工作总结称，环霍山示范带建设后，田东、下輋、东江的景观面貌焕然一新。[2] 田东村是示范带覆盖的8个行政村之一。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，村庄被命名为2023年广东省卫生村。[1]
