大庙村是龙母镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，村名来源于此地的古庙：约一千年前这里还是无人居住的林野，山旁路边有一座庙宇，后有古、李、邱几姓迁来定居，便以“大庙”称呼此地，至今仍保存着几座较大的庙宇。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前至1958年冬，大庙属龙母乡；1958年后为龙母公社的大庙大队，1983至1986年改为区公所下的大庙乡。1987年设村委会，1991年改称镇属管理区，1999年重设村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年4月，大庙村获得「2020年度龙川县文明村镇」称号。[1]
