名称来历[edit]
村名原指种植禾稻的田地，取其谐音写作“和”，又含和平、和睦之意。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年建和田村，此后先改为和田管理区，再成为和田大队；1976年另分出和光大队，1983年改设和田乡，1986年设立村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年重设村委会。2004年，经县政府批准，和光村委会并入和田村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，广东省爱卫会认定和田村为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
