莲东村位于丰稔镇中部，是规划中的五个中心村之一，以枇杷为主要特色产业。[2][3] 村名取自1954年由莲塘、东网两地名各取的一字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1983年由大队改为乡，1986年改为村委会，1999年设立村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

2020年，莲东村入选首批省级「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产业为枇杷。[3] 2026年的镇工作计划提出聚焦莲东枇杷，谋划发展枇杷深加工。[4]

2024年的镇工作计划提出拓宽老梅隆铁路道路（丰稔村至莲东村段），以改善旅游交通环境。[5]

文化[edit]

2023年5月，省爱卫会把2022年度卫生村的称号授予该村；2026年1月，莲东村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
