紫市社区是龙川县紫市镇的镇中心区社区，与镇下辖的各行政村同处镇政府所在地周围。[1]社区名称与紫市镇相同，因旧时此地竹林茂盛而得。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1976年紫市公社设立时，此地称竹头神居委会；2006年改称居委会，此后一直沿用。[1]

近年建设[edit]

2023年，镇政府投入约90万元建成社区文体广场，并投入使用。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，紫市社区被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
