新岭村是义都镇下辖的行政村，原名侯岭，清末改称新岭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据地名资料，明代有一位诸侯路过这里并落户，地方取名侯岭；到清末，外来定居的人增多，才改叫新岭。[1]

解放前，新岭是义都乡新联村的一部分，1958年冬随新联编入水贝公社，1962年转属义都公社。1963年后另立新岭大队，从新联分了出来。1983年春它成为区公所下的新岭乡，1987年为新岭村委会，1990年改称新岭管区，1999年再设村委会，名称沿用。[1]

荣誉[edit]

新岭村名列2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布），又于2023年5月由省爱国卫生运动委员会评为2022年度省卫生村。[1]
