庙前村是紫金县黄塘镇的行政村，旧称「埔尾」，因村中建有已三百多年的北帝庙而改称庙前。[1]

地名与宗族[edit]

据博雅地名网收录的地名资料，村原叫埔尾。最早来此落脚的是黄姓，聚居在黄峰嶂的黄屋圩一带；后来郊姓七世祖荣昌公从五华迁来，生下良友、鼎常二子，后人分成良友村、鼎常村。村里为保后代平安，建了北帝庙，至今三百多年，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

庙前大队在1958年隶黄塘公社，这一建制保持到1982年；次年大队改称乡，1987年起设村委会，1989年再称管理区，1999年撤销管理区、改设行政村，设立庙前村委会，此后名称未变。[1] 在此之前，1957年12月曾单独设过庙前乡，1961年4月分设庙前公社，1963年并入黄塘公社。[2]

荣誉[edit]

庙前村2019年10月进入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录，2021年1月被河源市文明委授予「2020年度河源市文明村」，2023年4月在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单上，2026年3月又被认定为省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1] 另外，2020年上半年，庙前与车前两村各完成一项50万元的壮大村级集体经济试点。[3]
