在上村是九和镇的行政村，原称磜头，位于乌禽嶂山脚、热水河上游。[1] 它曾属九树镇，2003年九树镇撤销后划入九和镇。[2]

地名由来[edit]

「磜」与「在」同音，「头」即上游，1949年后改称在上。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

在上的前身磜头村，明代属古名都下黄沙社，清代属汤里社，民国时在下黄砂乡内。1952年起它归第五区（九和）的在南乡，1958年成为九和公社的在上大队。1961年，九树公社从九和公社中分设，在上大队随之改隶，1963年九树公社撤销，大队回到九和；1973年4月九树公社恢复，在上又属九树。此后沿革为：1983年在上乡、1987年4月在上村、1989年管理区、1999年村委会。2003年8月，九树镇被撤销，在上村从此隶属九和镇。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

河源市文明委在2021年1月授予在上村「2020年度河源市文明村」称号；此前的2019年10月，该村已入选当年广东省卫生村名录。[1]
