九和社区在紫金县九和镇镇区，属镇中心区，是九和圩所在地。[1] 九和镇一名的由来与这里的墟市有关，1949年以前这里称「九和市」。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传此地旧称九墩埔，后来刘和师在此开店设墟，墟市逐渐兴旺，后人记念他，就取旧名与人名各一字合成「九和」。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，九和社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；同年10月，列入2019年广东省卫生村名录。[1]
