地名与沿革[edit]
辖区地势较高，四周有山围绕，故名高围。[4]1949年隶光辉乡，1958年另立高围大队，1983年建高围乡，1987年有村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年区撤，村委会延续至今。[3]
村情[edit]
全村660户2960人，高围、横岭两个自然村是移民村，约占一半人口。耕地1888亩，林地9000亩，其中7000多亩划入广东河源大桂山省级自然保护区；村里有奶娘坑、鹿子底两座水库。村集体年收入20.55万元。[2]
荣誉[edit]
高围村是2020年度河源市文明村（市文明委2021年1月评定）。在省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村中，它以五指毛桃上榜。2024年1月，它被确定为2023年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）；2026年1月，又列入广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
