莲塘岭村在埔前镇南大门的205国道边，总面积约4.8平方公里；埔前三角岭大会战革命烈士陵园就在村内的劳白山。[1][5]

地名由来[edit]

附近有一口出产莲藕的池塘，又紧挨着萝卜岭，村名由此而来。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年为莲塘岭乡，1958年变作大队，1983年复称乡，1987年建村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年区撤，仍设村委会。[3]

村情[edit]

全村738户3210人，下辖14个村民小组，其中6个是移民小组，移民约占人口的三分之二。耕地1950亩，种植水稻、花生；村集体收入合计11.55万元，来自厂房租金、砖厂管理费、鱼塘和林场果园租金及生态林补助。党员68名。[2]广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村的名单里有它，时间为2026年1月。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

埔前三角岭大会战革命烈士陵园：1949年9月，国民党军第196师从河源城南逃，边纵部队追至埔前，在三角岭高地与之激战两天三夜，击伤击毙敌军300余人，此后河源全境解放。为纪念牺牲的17位烈士，原河源县政府于1959年在三角岭立碑，把12位埔前籍烈士的名字刻在上面。1994年，205国道拓宽，碑移到劳白山，又添刻了8位解放后牺牲的烈士。2011年，为建党90周年修缮扩建，6月底完工。[5]
