埔前社区即埔前镇的圩镇社区，是全镇的行政、文化和生活中心所在，辖区2.5平方公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

圩镇居民委员会成立于1980年，2002年调整为社区。[1]地名据传源自明末清初先到此处落户的何屋埔人；到清光绪年间，当地人在何屋埔的前面开店设墟，后来就叫埔前。[1][2]

社区概况[edit]

社区有961户住户，常住11223人，另有外来人口5300人，下分4个居民小组。综合服务楼占地建筑640平方米，里面有党员群众服务和活动两个中心。[1]社区得过省级的“六好社区”和“先进体育社区”称号，还被河源市评为老龄工作先进集体，被源城区评为先进基层党组织。[3]
